WILLIAM SHAVER

Received B.S in Forestry and B.S. in Conservation from North Carolina Sate University in 1971.

Employed by Davey Tree Company 1971-1972 and the two previous summers. One summer being an internship for a college credit requirement. Worked in all aspects of power line right-of-way maintenance included bucket truck, chemical spraying, climbing and high voltage transmission line cleaning.

Employed 1972-1975 as a logger for Baxter Ribelin and Wayne Morgan Sawmills. Job included the total logging spectrum; felling, delimbing, skidding, bucking, loading and trucking.

Employed by Homes by Fisher mobile home plant in Richfield, NC from 1975-1978. Duties consisted of laying floors and floor coverings, setting furnaces and installing heat registers. As foreman for over a year duties included work assignments, ordering and maintaining all supplies for the flooring department.

1978-1980 Employed by Howard Dorris Surveying of Salisbury, NC. Duties were chainman, instrument operator, and party chief.

1980-1995 Employed by James T. Hill Surveying of Gold Hill and Salisbury, NC. Party chief of 3 to 4 man crew. Worked with all facets of surveying: lot and form surveys, topographical, construction, and road stake out.

1995-present Employed by H.W. Culp Lumber Company New London, NC as procurement forester. NC Registered forester since 1998.
